Persidio Jog

After a week of rain, hail, lightening, and thunder here in the Bay Area, the storm finally settled. The sky cleared up and the sun came out. What better way to enjoy a sunny San Francisco afternoon, other than eating? How about a jog around the Presidio and Chrissy Fields!

I met up with the Cornell University Alumn Running group that meets at Sports Basement every 2nd Saturday of the month. There we planned out our 6+ mile route along the field towards Fort Mason and back up through the Palace of Fine Arts to Lion’s Steps. Then, down Lovers’ Lane in the Persidio and back to Sports Basement where we had bottles of Stella and Blue Moons waiting for us.

Beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom. Which reminds me, it’s the first weekend of the Japantown Cherry Blossom Festival. The festival ends next weekend, April 21-22.

Located another SF Heart Mural. Painting of colorful birds dripping paint were drawn on both sides. You can find this one in the center of the steps. 20120415-082527.jpg
